Why not give a hand to our fellow campers who suffer from hayfever ?
I've seen some common ragweed or giant ragweed in the campground. It would be nice for those who suffers from hayfever that we eradicate it from the park.
Those who do not suffer from it can easily pull or cut the plant before it produces its pollen.
Don't worry, it is not the poison sumac that gives rashes to remember !!!
"Since it spreads via seed, efforts at getting rid of common ragweed (and thereby reducing hay fever) should focus on preventing seed production. As a bonus, if eradication occurs prior to flowering, you'll reduce hay-fever pollens -- at least in your own yard! Hand-pulling is the best method of getting rid of common ragweed for homeowners. The plants are easy to pull, as they have shallow root systems, so put your garden gloves on and do some weeding!"
