Seasonal Campers or Licensees:

The following policies have been established to ensure that everyone enjoys their stay at High Falls Park campground. We have established policies to benefit the majority, provide consideration for other campers, and safeguard the beauty of the park. Please be aware that some of the policies may be inconvenient at times, but they are necessary if we are to continue to provide the finest campground for your enjoyment. It is important to have regulations in order to ensure your enjoyment and security at high Falls Park. Please comply with the following:

Seasonal Site Rent:

1) Season : May 1st to October 15th is the time period when water, sewer and electricity are provided.

2) A deposit of $100.00 is required before September 15th to reserve the site for the next season, with the balance payable on or before June 15th. This will hold your site for next year and cover the cost of storage. Seasonal campers who do not meet this deadline will be charged an additional fee of 10.00$ per month. Vacating a site after May 1st will incur further charges. Arrangements can e made to pay the site rent in monthly installments, but will include an installment fee.

3) SITES are licensed to the Licensee for use solely by the Licensee, spouse/partner, and unmarried children under 21 years of age residing with the Licensee. Sub-licensing of the site or recreational vehicle on the site is not permitted unless approved by Management. Usage by anyone else camping or visiting, will require a registration at the office and payment of the daily site charge.

4) REFUNDS will not be given if Licensee chooses to leave before expiration of the license, or is evicted for policy violations.

5) VISITORS, other than the immediate family, must register at the office upon arrival (even when arriving with Licensee) and must be visiting a licensee who is present on the grounds. It is the Licensee's responsability to register visitors riding with the Licensee or arriving with him/her when the office is closed. A seasonal guest pass may be purchased at the office for 25.00$ for frequent visitors.

Visiting hours : 9 AM - 10 PM. All overnight visitors must pay an additional fee. If not registered for overnight, visitors must depart by 10 PM.

6) Campsites are designed to accomodate one camping family, which includes 2 adults and any children under 18, or living at home.

7) Fees for visitors to sites without the seasonal guest pass are as follows:

8 ) Visitors must not park on the roads in the park. Parking is available in the main parking lot, or at the side of the Pavilion if it is not in use. Registered campers will be held responsible for their guests.

9) Children are not to be left unattended should you leave the camp site for any period of time. This also applies to teenagers. They are not permitted to be left alone overnight, unsupervised. Children are not allowed to play in the roads in the campground. They should play on their site, the ball field, or the playground. Children riding bicycles must wear safety helmets and must ride at a reasonable speed. They must be at their camp site after dark. Should they have to return to their sites after dark, their bicycles must have haed lights. Toddler's playground equipment is to be used only by those under 60 lbs. Ball playing, Frisbee, and other athletics are to be played in the athletic and playgrounds areas.

10) QUIET HOURS:

Monday - Thursday :..........10:00 pm - 8:00 am
Friday - Sunday:................11:00 pm - 9:00 am
Holidays:...........................11:00 pm - 9:00 am

Please respect quiet hours as follows :
(Not only on your camp site, but anywhere on the grounds)
No loud talking, shouting or singing, no musical instruments during quiet hours. TV's, radios, etc should be at a very low volume, so as not to disturb neighbors. Please show consideration. No construction, building or repairs involving hammering, sawing, drilling, or pounding is permitted on weekends or holidays - only between 10 AM and 6PM weekdays.

11) SPEED LIMIT : the speed limit within the park 8 M.P.H and will be stricly enforced. Only duly licensed operators may operate venicles on grounds - insurance regulations. Anyone found sppeding will get one warning, then banned from driving in the park. Golf cart operators must be 16 years old.

12) Pets are welcome at High Falls Park, however, they must be kept on a leash at all times, whether being walked or at the camp site. Please respect others, and do not allow your pet to bark, howl or whine. Also remember to scoop after your pet. There is a dog run at the entrance to the campground and also on e in the gravel pit area. Please no cables or chains wrapped around trees, which damages the bark. Pet owners must provide current rabies vaccination certificate.

13) Fires must be in an enclosure such as a stove, pit, grill or fireplace. Large camp fires are not permitted. Absolutely no fires between 12 AM (Midnight) and 8:00 AM, or at times, when extremely dry. No fires are to be left unattended.

ALL FIRES MUST BE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE LEAVING OR RETIRING.

14) ATV's and motorcycles are not permitted, however, motorcycles with quiet mufflers, may be used to go and from the site. Firearms, BB or pellet guns are not permitted on the premises. Firecrackers are illegal and a danger.

15) Please assist us in keeping the washrooms clean and free from damage:

a) Washing diapers or clothes only in tubs, not in sinks.
b) Children must not play in washrooms
c) If you find a malfunction or untidiness, do not hesitate to report it to the main office
d) do not take hot water from sinks


SITE MANAGEMENT & RULES

1) Site must be kept orderly, clean and maintained

2) No outside refrigerators, which are visible, are permitted.

3) GARBAGE DISPOSAL : Absolutely no garbage is to be burned ! - Neww York State law. Garbage is to be placed in a plastic bag, then transported and placed in the dumpsters at the south end of the main parking lot or any other designated area.

4) BLACK/GRAY WATER, grease, or ashes are not to be dumped ont he ground
New York State Law

5) One storage shed is permitted at the rear of your site.

6) Outside refrigerators must be enclosed in your storage shed.

7) Porches and roofs must have prior approval from Mac Watson before construction.

8 ) Fences are discouraged, but, if so desired, a request may be made to Management who will either approve or disapprove, depending on how the fence would affect the appearance of the Park, your site and your neighbor's site.

9) Seasonal campers are responsible for maintaining their site in a neat and orderly manner.

10) Arrangements can be made for HFP staff to mow the lawn. Sites taht are not cut will be done by the Park and charged 10.00$

11) All construction is banned during the months of July and August.

12) Arrangements can be made to purchase dry firewood by the cord at the office. A cord of wood is 50.00$

13) Picnic tables can be purchased at the office.

HIGH FALLS PARK will not be held liable for injuries sustained by its registered visitors. High Falls Park is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings of any of its registered visitors.

FOR SALE signs require approval of the Management.

TREES AND FLORA are part of the beauty of our park. Cutting and trimming is not allowed without prior and express permission of Management. No nails or large ropes, wires or cables are to be attached to trees. Do not cut branches from live trees. Minimum 50.00$ assessment for willfully damaging, cutting, breaking branches, or peeling bark from trees in addition to possible eviction.

We take tremendous pride in High Falls Park Campground. Our plans for future enhancements and individual comfort and enjoyment may require periodic changes to the policies. We strongly encourage suggestions and ideas (in writing) from you. Many changes and improvements over the years are a direct result from you, the camper, as you see things from another perspective.
